“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen” (Mk. 16:17-20).

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” (Jn. 14:12)

The willing healing Jesus is in you the believer today! His healing power is at work in you! Your hands are the hands that Jesus heals through, he sees through your eyes, he speaks through your mouth! We are the freedom from the oppression the world is suffering from. Nothing will happen until we stretch forth our hands. Miracles will not take place until we open our mouths! We are not the miracle seekers, we are the miracle workers! Jesus said that he who believes in Him will do the same works that He did. What were those works? He healed the sick, cast out devils, made the blind to see and the lame to walk, raised the dead etc.

Do you remember how Jesus made the man that was congenitally blind see again? The disciples had asked Him whose sin led to his blindness. Was it the man’s or his parents’? This is funny! This man was born blind, how could his sins had led to his blindness? He was blind before he started sinning. This is how religion talks. Religion or human philosophy will always look for an excuse for evil. They blamed this sickness on an act of sin either committed by the man or his parents. But look at Jesus’ response;

“… Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world” (Jn. 9:3-5).

Jesus made it categorically clear that the man’s sickness had nothing to do with his sins nor his parents sins but so that works of God should be made manifest in healing him. This does not also mean that he was born blind so that God could manifest His healing power. Remember we have already said in the previous parts of this teaching series that sickness is of the devil. Sickness is darkness, Jesus is the Light of the world and He shines his light by healing the sick! These were the works that did. The works of Him (The Father) that sent Him.

He has asked us to do the same works! To shine His light in the midst of darkness. To make known His healing power in us to the nations of the world. He went further to say that we would do greater works than He did. Signs and wonders follow us because we have believed in His Name. He said among other things that we would lay our hands on the sick and the sick will recover! The believer’s hands are conduit pipes for the healing power of Jesus!

Step out today and make known the willing healing Jesus! It’s time to do the works of Jesus.
