Believers ought to come into precise and accurate understanding of this eternal reality that the same Spirit of Christ is in them. The same Spirit that was a Master over sin is in us; ”For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2Cor 5:21). Yes, we can now declare that; ”sin shall not have dominion over us: for we are not under the law, but under grace”. (Rom 6:14; paraphrased). Same Spirit that death could not hold bound, sickness could not contain when He was on earth and much more when He went about doing good is in us today! ”Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world” (1John 4:17). Oh what a declaration; as He is so are we in this world. No exceptions, no ‘‘but’’ or “paradventure” It’s same-same!
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption”(1Co 1:30). Christ was made unto us Righteousness and now we are the Righteousness of God in Him. ”For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2Co 5:21). It’s same-same!
”The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: ”And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” (Rom 8:16-17). While being an heir is good enough, the bible declares we are joint-heirs; meaning; we have to our credit everything that pertains to life in Christ Jesus same as Jesus has; having the same glory of God as Jesus has. Hear this, In Christ Jesus, we have access to all of God! For Christ Jesus; ”Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God” Phi 2:6 (NLT). We also though same with God in Christ, do not see it as a right, but as a privilege of sonship.
Jesus Himself while praying for the yet to be; new creation, willingly gave the same glory he had with his Father, to us. ”And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me’’ (John 17:22-23).
Some people have quoted the scripture; ”I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images’’, (Is 42:8) and even composed songs out of the scripture to mean that there is an exclusive place in God that He has not given to anyone and so nobody can attain it. However, and quite obviously, Prophet Isaiah was not making a reference to the New Creation in Christ Jesus. The New Creation is not called ‘’another’’ neither is he a ‘’graven image.’’ This Glory is not a physical thing nor a feeling but the eternal Spirit of God, within the believer. That is the Glory that Christ has with the Father which he has given us. We also know this; For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure (Phi 2:13). So it is not actually a “sharing”, but a manifestation, a reflection and a demonstration of the Glory of God within the believer. This is the dispensation of Christ. He has given us the same Glory with and of the Father. So we have left the Old Covenant and dwell in the New. It is by this glory we are qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. ”Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light” (Col 1:12).
Let us examine this scripture; ”Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people’’ (2Co 6:14-16). Notice the differences that Apostle Paul points out in this scripture between the Sinner and the New Creation in Christ Jesus. While the former is called ”unrighteousness”, ”darkness”, ”infidel” and ”idols”, the latter is called ”righteousness”, ”Light”, and ”he that believeth”. Also While the unbeliever is called ”Belial”, the believer in called ‘’Christ’’. Yes, he is called Christ (one with Christ). It’s same-same. For as he is, so are we in this world.
When God raised Christ from the dead he gave him a Name (the authority) above all other Names (all other authorities). ”Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name” ( Philippians 2:9). In the same vein, Jesus handed this same authority to us, now we can do same things He did ‘‘…All power (Authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, (in this Authority) and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Mat 28:18-19).He took our place and now we are in His place. It’s same-same; people.
Rejoice! Live in this understanding and let the world see Jesus in and through you.
