They often come disguised as necessities
Seemingly reasons for loquacity mingled with laziness
Important things neglected
Not so important things attended to

Ever talking never working
The distracted love the company of the distracted
Their goal is to distract the undistracted
To have many more in the valley of distractions
Where lofty ideas remain in the realm of dreams

Those distracted peddle gossip like crack cocaine
They get high on nothingness
Feed their souls on emptiness
Fan their egos with thoughts meaningless
And sow the seeds of unfaithfulness

Time wasted, energy dissipated
Distractions lead to nowhere
But somewhere in wanderland
Where frustration and confusion abound
There regrets and stagnation keep them compa
